I finally caved in… After seeing so many hauls and ads for this sites. I did it. I bought from Shein.

Here is what I got &and what I think about it.

I placed the order on the July 10th and got all the way to my door step on the 23rd, 13 days later, and that includes “the delays that my be caused because of the Corona”. AND FREE SHIPPING!

Link Dark Wash Straight Leg Jeans here– surprisingly great quality. Would recommend &feels super comfy.

Link Mesh Fitted Top here– looks just like in the picture. But the metrical is not cutting it for me. Doesn’t feel great and if I l knew before hand might have not buy.

Link to the blue set: top here. bottom here

Link to the pink set: here

Link to the green set: here

All 3 sets are super cute and fit true to size. 100% would recommend.

Link to the flip flops here– SKIP. I get that they are cheap.. but the quality of those redefine that meaning of that. They feel like one time us and sure light.

Link to the flip flops here– well, the look like the picture, but poorly made. And I thought the shoe sole would be made of some straw, but it’s rubber. surprisingly comfy tho.

Link to the Graphic One Piece Swimsuit here– Would skip, doesn’t really sit well on the body. One wrong move…

Link to the Clear Tote Bag With Inner Woven Pouch here– kinda of a miss, look like the picture, but inner bag has a super long smell that I couldn’t get rid of.

Link simple Solid Face Mask here– They are nice, that’s it. Don’t have anything to add.

Link to the 4 Scrunchies here– absolutely love them!

Link to the Vintage Crumpled Scrunchies Scarf here– You can’t really go wrong here.

Link to the Faux Pearl Decor Hair Clip here– They are nice, except for the one u can see in the other picture, just because the way the pears are glued, you can actually see the glue.

Link to the  Rhinestone Decor Letter Hair Clip here– actually good quality, and looks very nice in reality.

Link to the Silicone Foaming Bath Brush here– Don’t really have an opinion on this.

Link to the Pom Pom Decor Bath Headband here– wold skip, just because it has a fluffy fall out from the white material.

Link to the Daisy Tie Shoulder Cami Bustier Dress here– it fits well and looks great, just like on the site.

Link to the Graphic Short Sleeve Tee here– To be honest… only bought it for it says on the shirt.. Don’t regret it.

Link to the Graphic Bucket Hat here– Super cute. Love it.

Link to the Flower Patch Sling Bag here– Mine came super stinky, had to wash it 3 times and the smell was still there. Smelled like fish. Had to air it out for days. But full disclosure, I did reach out, got an answer from customer service in less then 24 hours, but they were willing to give me back half of the price of the product and let me keep it. And I’m not really complaining, it was very cheap.

link to the Daisy Pattern Face Mask here– the ear pieces are super long and can’t adjust them.

Link to the Shell Frame Tinted Lens Sunglasses: here

Link to the Rimless Leaf Frame Sunglasses: here

The Sunglasses- actually, I love them, didn’t expect them to be like that and they come with a case, and look so pretty.

Link to the 10pcs Simple Hair Clip here– It’s pretty good, and feel like it made of metal and not plastic.

Link to the Fruit Pattern Bucket Hat here– Looks great &love it!

So Would I recommend shopping in Shein? Well it depends.

The quality is quiet hit or miss, most of the products look exactly like picture but it doesn’t feel (or smell) great always. Plus because it’s so cheap it encourage you to buy more withe free shipping over a certain amount, flash sales and mostly trendy clothes, that change very frequently. Which actually brings us 3 major issuess:

1)Environmental issue-

Because of the low prices of the clothes people buy more from them and change their wardrobe more frequently without putting much thought in the process, crating a lot of fashion waist. In the end it’s a fast fashion company. Read more about fast fashion here.

2)They ripp-off smaller (and even bigger) designer-

I don’t think I need to elaborate on this. It’s Just not okay. And now, especially in this times it’s super important to support small and local brands, now more then ever.

3)They are offensive sometimes- check out this post:

@sheinofficial , the massive Chinese e-tailer known for dirt cheap prices, came under fire on social media this weekend for selling Islamic prayer mats as decorative rugs. Prayer mats are used by Muslims and placed between the ground and the worshipper for cleanliness during the various positions of Islamic prayer. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ One of the mats named “Greek fret carpet,” depicts the Kaaba, a building at the center of the Great Mosque of Mecca and the most sacred site in Islam. Another features a niche representing the mihrab, a symbolic architectural element in mosques. The mihrab indicates the direction of the Kaaba, towards which Muslims face in their daily prayers. Others depict mosques and various geometric Arabic motifs. In one of the reviews, a customer lavished praise on behalf of their cat. “I got this as a matt to use for my cats food and water. She absolutely adores it!… It was way better than expected!,” it read. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ There’s little information available about Shein. A quick google search finds the company ranked in several “do not buy” lists due to the lack of transparency in their environmental and labor policies. With most of their clothing priced between $5 and $20, it’s easy understand why. Other sites are rife with negative reviews of poor quality products. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The prayer mat oversight comes at a time of increased international focus on China’s persecution of the Uyghur Muslim people in Xinjiang. About 1 million Uyghur are believed to be detained in camps where they’re reportedly subjected to torture, forced labor, and brainwashing. Last week, it was reported that the Chinese government has taken drastic measures to suppress the population by forcing birth control on women through IUDs, abortion, and sterilization. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ In March, the Australian Strategic Policy Institute published a report that found 83 foreign and Chinese companies to be in connection, directly or indirectly, to forced Uyghur labor. The ASPI estimated that at least 80K Uyghurs were transferred out of Xinjiang to work in various supply chains throughout China. Some brands found in connection were Zara, Gap, Nike, and Victoria’s Secret. • #shein

I’ve been seeing a lot of Shein products online too, but have not bought anything as I’ve been trying to support ethical brands with quality products. Thanks for confirming what I suspected about the brand. xo Nipa

You did a great job of laying out the pros and cons of shopping with Shein. The pieces you picked out are super cute too. I guess it all comes down to what you want from your shopping experience.

[…] You already know my opinion about shein, and if you don’t you can check it (here). […]
